Program Finalized and Registration Now Open for the 16th Tinbergen Institute Annual Conference
We are excited to announce that the program for the upcoming 16th Tinbergen Institute Annual Conference: Morals, Purpose, and Impact in Markets and Organizations, is now complete. Additionally, we would like to inform you that registration is open. This year's conference will take place at Erasmus University Rotterdam on April 24–25, 2025.

Topic
In developed economies, the role of organizations appears to be extending beyond profit maximization to encompass broader societal impact goals. At the same time, people’s morals are shaped in competitive market interactions.
The purpose of this conference is to gather researchers whose recent projects examine either the role of organizations, beyond their primary profit-maximizing purpose, or how organizations use purpose and societal impact goals to maximize profits. We are interested in research investigating how organizations use purpose and societal impact motives to create value for employees, consumers, and shareholders. The conference will examine how organizations integrate social and environmental considerations into their economic strategies and how different stakeholders (employees, consumers, shareholders) react to such behaviors.
We are also interested in research investigating how markets shape people’s morals, and research investigating people’s willingness to accept interventions that are meant to mitigate negative external effects of behavior.
