The Cooperative Meaning of Universalism

My thesis studies how the cooperative meaning of universalist signals depends on group composition. Using an online experiment, I test whether the same signal of universalism promotes cooperation differently in balanced versus unbalanced groups. "Universalist signals" increase cooperation in diverse groups, while more "particularistic signals" may be more effective when one group constitutes a clear majority.
