Placement David González-Jiménez: University of St. Gallen, Switzerland

David earned a Research Master's in Economics from UCLouvain, Belgium and studied Mathematics before starting a PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is working under the supervision of Aurelien Baillon (Emlyon Business School, France) and Chen Li (Erasmus University Rotterdam).

In his research, David focus on bridging the gap between theory and empirics in the study of Risk and Uncertainty, drawing on theoretical insights to inform his research. His work centers on measuring risk attitudes, ambiguity attitudes and beliefs, and exploring how uncertain information affects these attitudes, often through experiments. He also apply these measurements to real-world problems, including gender discrimination, offering new insights through the lens of economic behavior under uncertainty.
