When are the application deadlines?

  • EEA students

    EEA students

    • December 1, 2026: Deadline for the first admission round. This round is highly recommended for students wishing to apply for scholarships offered by the Program and the University of Amsterdam 
    • February 1, 2027:  Deadline for the second admission round. 
    • May 1, 2027: Deadline for the third and final admission round. 

    Until June 15, 2027: EEA students at our partner schools can reach out to the admissions office (admissions@tinbergen.nl) to explore if there are still places available in the Program.

  • Non-EEA students

    Non-EEA students

    • December 1, 2026: Deadline for the first admission round. This round is highly recommended for students wishing to apply for scholarships offered by the Program and the University of Amsterdam 
    • February 1, 2027:  Deadline for the second admission round. Final deadline for non-EEA citizens. 

    Note: Non-EEA citizens currently studying in one of our partner schools* have different deadlines. 

    *Tinbergen Institute partner Schools are: School of Business and Economics/ABRI (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), School of Economics and Business/Amsterdam Business School (University of Amsterdam) and Erasmus School of Economics (Erasmus University Rotterdam).
