Placement Travers Child: CEIBS

Travers Child has accepted a position as Lecturer of Finance at CEIBS (China Europe International Business School).

Travers graduated from the TI MPhil program in 2013 and is currently a PhD student at VU Amsterdam.

One major strand of his research investigates the impact of post-conflict reconstruction on insurgency, for which he spent November 2013 in Kabul conducting field interviews with reconstruction and development stakeholders. The other strand of his research focuses on corporate ownership, political connections, and board networks of publicly listed firms.

He will defend his PhD from the VU Amsterdam, under the supervision of research fellows Remco Oostendorp and Chris Elbers, in the fall of 2017.

VoxEU recently published a column by Child.
