New Housing Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam
For almost 15 years, Tinbergen Institute has been located in the Symphony building in Amsterdam. We've had a great time at this location, but at the end of 2025, the lease for the Symphony building will come to an end. Tinbergen Institute will move back to the city center and has secured a new location at the University of Amsterdam.
Starting in January 2026, Tinbergen Institute will be based on the fourth floor of the REC-E building on the Roeterseiland campus. We are pleased to share this new space with the Amsterdam School of Economics and to be located near the Amsterdam Business School.
Tinbergen Institute looks forward to welcoming all students, fellows, and alumni from the three schools to our new location in Amsterdam.
