Placement Gabriele Mingoli: Aarhus University, Denmark

Gabriele earned his Research Master's in Economics from Tinbergen Institute in 2021 before starting a PhD at the School of Business and Economics. He is supervised by research fellows Francisco Blasques and Siem Jan Koopman (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).

In his research, Gabriele focuses on econometric theory and time series analysis, with the goal of developing econometric and machine learning methods to model and forecast macroeconomic, financial and climate risk. His work has a specific emphasis on time series models in the context of heavy tailed processes and extreme events.
