Stanislav Avdeev wins Best Paper Award at the CESifo/ifo Junior Workshop

Stanislav received the paper award for his research titled "University as a Melting Pot: Long-term Effects of Internationalization", presented at the 2025 CESifo/ifo Junior Workshop on the Economics of Education.

This year’s workshop was held in Munich on May 12–13, 2025, and featured 14 plenary presentations by junior researchers, two keynote lectures, and several poster sessions. Check the workshop website if you are curious about the complete program.

Stanislav is an empirical microeconomist with a strong interest in the economics of education and health economics. His research focuses on quasi-experimental methods to evaluate policy reforms, leveraging both administrative and survey data.

He completed the Research Master’s in Economics at the Tinbergen Institute in 2022 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at the University of Amsterdam. His advisors are research fellows Hessel Oosterbeek (University of Amsterdam) and Bas van der Klaauw (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).
