In memoriam Xuan Wang

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Xuan Wang.

In memoriam Xuan Wang

Xuan became a Research Fellow of the Tinbergen Institute in January 2024 and, since 2021, had already been a much-appreciated teacher of the core course Macro IV: Macroeconomics with Financial Frictions. He was also actively involved in supervising our students and in organizing the Macroeconomics seminars at Tinbergen Institute.

We are deeply grateful for his many contributions to Tinbergen Institute and for his dedication to our academic community.

We will remember Xuan as an incredibly kind, cooperative, and talented colleague. He will be dearly missed at Tinbergen Institute and in the Finance Department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Our thoughts go out to Xuan’s family, friends and close colleagues.
