Alexander Mayer is an assistant professor in econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

He completed his PhD in Germany and spent some time in Italy as a researcher before moving to the Netherlands in late 2025.

His research focuses primarily on time series econometrics, with applications in macroeconomics and finance.
