New Research Fellow: Henk Volberda
Henk Volberda is Professor of Strategic Management & Innovation at Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam. He leads the Innovation and Digital group of the Strategy and IB section. He is also the Scientific Director of the Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation.
His research focuses on various themes such as hyper-competition, technological disruption, new business models, strategic flexibility, management innovation and new forms of organisation.
He has published extensively in several international peer-reviewed journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Global Strategy Journal, Journal of International Business, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Strategic Management Journal.
Volberda holds various executive and advisory positions. He is a member of the Netherlands Defence Academy, an expert member of the World Economic Forum and a fellow of the European Academy of Management. Previously, he was, among other things, vice-dean of the Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University Rotterdam and chair of the Department Strategic Management, board member of the Netherlands Centre for Social Innovation and Vice-President Research of the European Academy of Management (EURAM).
