Pierson medal for Honorary Fellow Bernard van Praag

TI honorary fellow Bernard van Praag, together with Professor Arie Kapteyn, will be presented with the 2017 Pierson Medal (‘Pierson Penning’) of the Stichting Mr. N.G. Pierson Fonds.

The prize is awarded once every three years to a Dutch economist who stands out for the quality and depth of his or her publications. The ceremony will take place at Societeit De Witte in the Hauge on October 10, 2017.

Former TI prize laureates are fellow Arnout Boot (2011) and fellow Rick van der Ploeg (2003). Jan Tinbergen was the first Dutch economist to receive the prize in 1951.
