Announcement New Director of Graduate Studies

It is our pleasure to announce that Vittoria Scalera will be appointed as the new Director of Graduate Studies at Tinbergen Institute.

Announcement New Director of Graduate Studies

In this role Vittoria will be responsible for both research master’s programs. Vittoria is an Associate Professor in the Strategy and International Business section of the Amsterdam Business School (University of Amsterdam) and she serves as Director of the “A Sustainable Future” research platform at the University of Amsterdam.

Vittoria will succeed Francesca Sotgiu as of August 15, when the current students have completed their theses and the new academic year starts.

Francesca has been the longest-serving Director of Graduate Studies at Tinbergen Institute. During her tenure, she initiated and developed the Business Data Science program into a highly successful research master’s program, delivering excellent PhD students to the associated schools. Francesca also led the first joint accreditation of the research master’s programs and she leaves both programs in excellent shape. As Tinbergen Institute we are very grateful for her effort, dedication and enthusiasm during all these years.
