Placement Oliver Feltham: HEC Paris
Oliver Feltham will join HEC Paris as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2026.
Oliver is currently a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Amsterdam, under the supervision of research fellows Arthur Schram and Randolph Sloof.
His research interests lie in political economy, behavioural and experimental economics, and applied microeconomics. In his job market paper, Oliver studies how voters’ party preferences and voting choices shape prosocial behaviour towards others. In other research, he examines voting behaviour, with a focus on protest voting. He investigates how protest voting is affected by the information provided by opinion polls and explores how politicians respond to this behaviour.
Oliver is an alumnus of the Tinbergen Institute’s Research Master programme in Economics (2021).
