Start of the Academic Year

With the start of the new academic year, we welcome a new group of 39 students to our research master’s programs.

A new academic year also means that an earlier cohort of 40 talented students completed their theses and thereby finished the research master's program. Many of them will continue with a PhD, and we are happy to welcome them in this new role within our community.

In 2027, Tinbergen Institute will celebrate its 40th anniversary. We will mark this occasion with an event during the coming academic year. We hope to see many people from our current community or who have previously been involved with Tinbergen Institute back at the anniversary event.

Coming academic year, we introduce a new Lectures Series in Business Data Science. Catherine Tucker (MIT Sloan) will be the first speaker. The Economics Lectures will be given by Nathaniel Hendren (MIT), and the speaker of the Econometrics Lectures will be announced later.

We ended the academic year with nine excellent Summer Courses. The Summer schools were attended by enthusiastic groups of international graduate students and professionals. We warmly welcome everyone coming academic year again at all seminars, workshops, conferences and other events that we will organize.
