Placement Christiaan van der Kwaak: University of Groningen

PhD student Christiaan van der Kwaak has accepted a position as tenure-track assistant professor at the University of Groningen.

Christiaan is an alumnus of the TI MPhil program (2012) (cum laude) and currently a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Amsterdam. He also holds an MSc in Physics (2010) (cum laude) from University of Groningen. Christiaan expects to  defend his PhD thesis in the second half of 2016. His supervisor is fellow Sweder van Wijnbergen.

His research focuses on the interaction between financial fragility and sovereign debt crises, and (un)conventional monetary and fiscal policy.
