Fellow Martijn Dröes wins RICS best paper award on valuation

The winner of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Award was announced at the 23rd European Real Estate Society (ERES) Conference in Regensburg, June 10, 2016. The ERES annual conference is the leading real estate research meeting in Europe and one of the largest property-related conferences worldwide.

The best paper award went to “Do The Determinants of House Prices Change over Time? Evidence From 200 Years of Transactions Data” by TI fellow Martijn Dröes (University of Amsterdam) and Alex van de Minne (MIT, United States). The paper provides more insight from a scientific perspective with regard to determinants for house prices, using historical data from Amsterdam from the year 1825 onwards. Martijn is a member of the TI Finance Research Group. Read more about the award here.
