Fellow Stefan Stremersch awarded International Francqui Chair

TI fellow Stefan Stremersch has been appointed to a 2015 International Francqui Chair by Ghent University, Belgium.

Every year, the Francqui Foundation in Belgium awards international chairs to scholars who excel in their field of discipline. The Francqui program promotes inter-university collaboration, to further develop higher education and to stimulate scientific research in Belgium. The chair has been awarded to Stremersch for a term of one year, as holder of a foreign university chair – in his case, Erasmus School of Economics and IESE Business School in Spain. Stefan Stremersch (1972) is Professor of Marketing at the Erasmus School of Economics (EUR).

On 26 March 2015, Ghent University will hold a ceremony commemorating the award of the 2015 International Francqui Chair. At this ceremony, Professor Stremersch will also give his inaugural lecture, entitled ‘Innovation in each organisation’s DNA’.
