EU FP7 Grant for Fellow Cars Hommes

Fellow Cars Hommes obtained an EU FP7 grant for a collaborative project entitled ‘Integrated Macro-Finance Modelling for Robust Policy Design’.

In this MACFINROBODS project, 10 European universities will collaborate with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. MACFINROBODS emphasizes research into macroeconomic models relevant to policymaking. The project studies uncertain decision making by banks, consumers, businesses and public institutions and the global systemic risk of the macro-financial system. The EU awarded a total of € 2.5 million for this project. The University of Amsterdam (UvA) receives approximately € 500,000.

Professor Cars Hommes is the coordinator of this project, on behalf of the UvA. Since 2008, CeNDEF managed to win 5 EU FP7 grants.

TI fellows Cees Diks, Jan Tuinstra, Florian Wagener, Domenico Massaro and Isabelle Salle are colleague CeNDEF researchers who are involved in this project.
