Placement David Kopanyi: University of Nottingham

PhD student Dávid Kopányi has accepted a position as research fellow at the School of Economics of the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Dávid is an alumnus of the TI MPhil program (cum laude, 2011) and a PhD candidate in economics at the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics in Economics and Finance (CeNDEF), at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

Dávid’s main research interests include Bounded Rationality, Game Theory, Industrial Organization, and Non-Linear Dynamics. In his research, he studies the consequences of incorporating learning and bounded rationality in the field of Industrial Organization, and focuses on the competition between boundedly rational firms and the resulting market outcomes. Dávid will defend his PhD thesis in the second half of 2014. His supervisors are TI fellows professors Cars Hommes and Jan Tuinstra. Dávid published in the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control (2013).
