Biography

Jan O. Bauer is a Research Associate (Tenure-Track) at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in cross-sectional statistics. His research focusses on hierarchical variable clustering and variable selection as well as on the extension of these methods to the high-dimensional, small sample size (‘p≫n’) setting.

Jan O. Bauer holds a Ph.D. in Econometrics and Statistics from Universität Basel and a Master's degree in Mathematics-Economics from Københavns Universitet.
