Biography

Samantha (Sami) Horn is an Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam. Before joining the University of Amsterdam, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago and received her PhD from Carnegie Mellon University.

Her research lies at the intersection of behavioral and applied microeconomics. She is particularly interested in how people form beliefs about their abilities and how those beliefs shape choices about skill development. Her work uses online and field experiments, with applications to development, labor, and health.
