Lina Zhang receives an NWO Veni grant for study on Social Network Effects
Research fellow Lina Zhang (University of Amsterdam) has been awarded a Veni grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO).

With her research project 'How Social Networks Shape What We Do and Who We Become,' Lina will study how various channels driving network formation and introduce innovative approaches to better characterize network effects.
About
Assistant Professor in the Quantitative Economics Section at the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD from Monash University, Australia and MA in Economics from both UCLA, United States and Peking University, China.
Veni
The NWO Veni research grant, with a maximum amount of 320,000 euros, is awarded to newly promoted researchers with an excellent research proposal. The grant offers researchers the opportunity to further develop their ideas over a period of three years and stimulates curiosity-driven and innovative research.
