Julia Schaumburg appointed as Professor of Econometric Methods and Applications

As of September 1, 2023, Julia Schaumburg (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) was appointed Professor of Econometric Methods and Applications.

Julia Schaumburg appointed as Professor of Econometric Methods and Applications

Research fellow Julia Schaumburg is besides Professor of Econometric Methods and Applications, also the head of the Department of Econometrics and Data Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a research professor at Halle Institute for Economic Research, and a visiting researcher at De Nederlandsche Bank.

Her research interests include time series and financial econometrics flavoured with (spatial) panel and machine learning methods, and applications to topics in empirical finance, systemic risk, and financial stability. Julia obtained her PhD from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany in 2013.
