Mathieu Steijn is an Assistant Professor in urban economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. 

New Candidate Fellow: Mathieu Steijn

Mathieu Steijn is fascinated by the unequal distribution of human activity across space and its repercussions on the lives of different socioeconomic groups. Recently, he is focusing on the role of local social infrastructure in the opportunities for social mobility in the Netherlands. His work appeared in journals such asNature Human Behaviour, Journal of Urban Economics and Journal of Economic Geography.
