Hande's paper "Panel Data measures of price discovery” has received an honorable mention in Econometric Reviews’ Best Paper competition (2021-2022). The paper is co-authored with Joakim Westerlund (Lund University) and Paresh Narayan (Monash University).

The Best Paper Award in Econometric Reviews is given to the best paper published in the journal in prior years. It is intended to be awarded every year, and it may be shared by several papers. An Award Committee of the Editorial Board assesses and ranks papers. The current selection committee is comprised of Nikolay Gospodinov (Chair), Bertille Antoine, Yanqin Fan, and Vadim Marmer.

The Econometric Review has an ongoing special collection online that features all winners.
