Credit and certification
Generally participants who joined at least 80% of all sessions and hand in the assignments will receive a certificate of participation stating that the summer school is equivalent to a work load of 3 ECTS. Note that it is the student’s own responsibility to get these credits registered at their university and that there might be specifc requirements for your specific course.
How to apply
Applications to the Tinbergen Institute Summer School have now closed. Applications to the 2025 Summer School will open in December/January. Each course has its own requirements. Our courses are generally sutite for (research)master's and PhD students, Postdoc and Professionals.
Elective Courses
Tinbergen Institute’s field courses make top-notch faculty and expertise accessible to a broader audience. (External) PhD students and Professionals can now apply for courses in Academic Year 2024-2025. This offers the opportunity to take a single course to build a new skill or deepen knowledge. Note that these courses take place on campus and last for 6-8 weeks including exam.
