Placement Konstantin Sommer: CPB

Konstantin Sommer will start as a research economist in the Macro & International Economics sector at Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) in October 2024.

Placement Konstantin Sommer: CPB

Konstantin is a PhD student in Economics at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of research fellows Franc Klaassen (University of Amsterdam) and Henri de Groot (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). He holds a research master degree in Economics from Tinbergen Institute (2020).

Konstantin’s research interests lie at the intersection of international and environmental economics. He studies how differences in environmental policy affect the distribution of environmental externalities over countries, and how increases in environmental policy stringency can affect domestic firms if other countries do not adjust their policies.
