New Candidate Fellow: Jan O. Bauer
Jan O. Bauer is a Research Associate (Tenure-Track) at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in cross-sectional statistics.
His research focusses on hierarchical variable clustering and variable selection as well as on the extension of these methods to the high-dimensional, small sample size (‘p≫n’) setting.
Jan O. Bauer holds a PhD in Econometrics and Statistics from University of Basel, Switzerland and a Master's degree in Mathematics-Economics from University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
